RAP & HIP HOP lovers
Faces of Rap Mothers™, founded by Candy Strother DeVore-Mitchell, is a multi-platform entertainment and cultural initiative that blends reality television, music, literature, and film to spotlight the women behind the rap and hip-hop industry. Originally conceived as a reality TV series with a preliminary release on a private channel network, the project was scripted by Director Walter Franks. While initial filming was postponed, Candy responded with creative agility—revising the script to reflect a more expansive and culturally resonant vision.

As of 2025, Walter Franks is no longer attached to the comedy film production. In his absence, Candy Strother DeVore-Mitchell has taken the reins, reimagining the project and leading Faces of Rap Mothers™ into its first feature film—a cinematic debut that captures the humor, heart, and heritage of women connected to hip-hop’s most iconic figures. This marks a strategic shift from episodic television to scripted film, with Candy now steering the creative direction and production momentum.
DonnaInk Publications, under the leadership of Ms. Donna L. Quesinberry, serves as the official literary publishing partner—transforming the brand’s vision into compelling books and written works. As ghostwriter and strategic consultant, Ms. Quesinberry ensures that each title reflects the authenticity, nuance, and cultural significance of its contributors, while aligning with the brand’s entertainment-forward ethos.

Readers, viewers, and fans are invited to participate in this evolving journey—through books, broadcasts, music, and live events. Faces of Rap Mothers™ is not just a brand—it’s a movement. Join us in celebrating the women who shaped the soundtrack of generations, and be part of the story as it unfolds across screens and pages.
